Since 2012, Hast has been working hard to develop exceptional clothing for your everyday life . Season after season, we develop demanding collections composed of discreetly luxurious items. Without frills or exuberance, our creations embody an unchanged ambition: to think about fashion differently to make clothing an art sensitive to time.
Your everyday life is a great occasion
A celebration of a certain idea of elegance, the Hast wardrobe is based on a foundation of values strengthened by a decade of experience. Concern for style, awareness of the world, accuracy of approach and honesty of discourse together form the foundations of an ambitious and responsible wardrobe.
Unique in its kind, our know-how is also a way of making known, an authentic plea in favor of Beauty and quality. By combining labeled natural fibers, renowned European expertise and timeless cuts, we offer a dressing room with a subtle balance, transcending trends without disdaining movement.
Finally, our collections are as many invitations to cultivate refinement and delicacy. Made up of essentials and more assertive pieces, they are aimed at those who want to wear their Sunday best 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
A manifesto for an ordinary distinction that we claim with the introduction of new exceptional materials .
Our new prestigious materials
True to its mission, Hast tirelessly crisscrosses the meanders of textiles to unearth the noblest fibers and the most beautiful materials. As part of the fall-winter 2024 collection, several of them have come to expand our range, and we take you straight away to meet them:
- The shaggy dog . More than just a knit, the Shaggy Dog is a timeless icon popularized by American Ivy League students in the 1920s. Recognizable by its ruffled face similar to a dog's fur (hence its nickname), it is renowned for its unique texture and exceptional thermal performance. Originally knitted in Scotland, shaggy dog sweaters were brushed to promote insulation and protect fishermen on the high seas. This year, you will find this unique knit on display in our crew neck sweaters and some work jackets ; new creations combining softness, warmth and character.
- Upcycled sheepskin. A distinctive feature of the B3 jacket since 1934 , the sheepskin collar kept American fighter pilots warm without having to weigh them down with a scarf. As a nod to this historical detail, we have equipped our aviator jacket with a 100% sheepskin collar, found in a dormant stock.
- Double twisted twill. The name may sound barbaric, but the explanation is child's play: double twisted actually involves winding two threads around themselves to form one. Mathematically, the resulting thread is twice as strong, twice as dense and twice as heavy. On our double-pleated chinos , two cotton threads are twisted together to create thick warps and wefts, which are then woven in Italy to form a dry-handed twill with a delicious texture.
- Corduroy from Kindermann. Even if corduroy holds no secrets for you, it is not impossible that the corduroy from the German House Kindermann has a few surprises in store for you. Indeed, this institution specializing in workwear capitalizes on two centuries of know-how to provide exceptional fabrics. To dress our jackets , its artisans have woven a 500 gr/m2 corduroy, a real armor that you will have a hard time taking out this winter.
- Corduroy from Velcorex. Speaking of corduroy, let's go back to France (and particularly to Alsace) to talk about the one that adorns some of our pants . Made from 100% cotton to achieve a density of 390 gr/m2, it promises you comfort, warmth and durability. This French weaver has been making a name for himself in this field since 1828, which gives you a little idea of his expertise.
- Geelong Super Merino Wool. Obtained from the first shearing of the lamb, a period when the fibres are unique in terms of softness, this wool offers an incomparable finesse and quality. We have dressed several crew neck jumpers knitted in Italy with it, in which we invite you to snuggle up as soon as possible.
Excellence on a platter
In a world where half of new clothes are made of polyester, offering a wardrobe made entirely of natural or recycled fibers is a source of immense pride. Firmly convinced that an honest wardrobe must be honest down to the end of its fibers, we make it a point of honor to select quality raw materials. Coupled with exceptional know-how, most of which are centuries old if not older, these fibers serve as the basis for the most prestigious fabrics.
Sweaters , jackets , shirts , trousers and work jackets : all our clothes are now adorned with them, some even featuring materials that you have never seen before from us.
Hoping that you will enjoy (re)discovering and loving them, we now leave you in the company of these fabrics which are as much a part of heritage as they are part of clothing.
